About

For many years, she lived on a farm called Summerland South, where caring for horses and immersing herself in nature sparked a profound connection to the natural world—one that would later become central to her art.

Encouraged and mentored by local artists Judith Thompson and Rob VanderZee, Debbie began to seriously pursue her lifelong passion for painting. In 2020, she relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, where her artistic practice continued to flourish. In 2022 she enrolled in the Milan Art Institute graduating in January 2025, and continues her studies with Andy Braitman at Braitman Studio in Charlotte.

Debbie’s work is a reflection of a life well-lived—rich with introspection, resilience, and emotional depth. She views age not as a barrier but as a source of insight and creative strength. Her paintings are quiet meditations on beauty, rooted in everyday moments and the serenity of nature.

With each brushstroke, Debbie seeks to create a sense of peace, joy, and connection. Her work invites viewers into a world of stillness and wonder, offering a visual sanctuary and a reminder of the profound beauty that surrounds us.
