About
Summerland South was the name of my farm in Virginia where I was fortunate enough to ride and care for my horses for many years. It is my love of animals, nature, and the outdoors that has been a constant source of inspiration for my art. As an artist who began their career later in life, I bring a unique perspective to my work.
My passion is horses. In my art I try to capture the power, essence, and beauty of these wonderful beings. I find them endlessly fascinating and I am constantly inspired by their diversity and complexity.
In addition to horses, I enjoy depicting landscapes that capture the beauty of the natural world. Whether it is a countryside meadow, lake or forest, I try to convey a sense of peace and tranquility in my work. Through the use of color and light, the viewer finds himself in serene and idyllic places.
But it is in my fictional and imaginative fantasy scenes that I truly let my creativity run wild. Drawing on my love of storytelling and mythology, I create worlds that are rich in detail and full of magic and wonder. Whether it is a mystical forest or a magical kingdom, my aim is to transport the viewer to a land that is both familiar and yet entirely new.
My artistic journey started later in life but I have found that age is no barrier to creativity. In fact, I believe that my life experiences only add depth and richness to my work. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my vision with others. It is my hope that my art brings joy and inspiration to those who view it.

Chance enjoying retirement.
